Europe – The Path Less Traveled
I’ve been busy booking client trips for this summer across Europe since last fall. BUT if you just now know your summer schedule, it’s not too late. The closer you get to travel can lead to availability issues, but my trusted partners in each country can find those hidden gems.
I’d encourage you to consider the less touristed cities and towns of Europe too (example charming and fascinating Malta or the Portugese island of Madeira). We will discuss options on a consultation call.
💎Hidden Gem Tip: With much of Europe being very hot in the summer months (just like in the US), consider spots on/near the water and further north.
Resort and Sea Life
If you’ve had a tough first half of the year and crave a relaxing vacation, consider a full-service resort in an interesting location whether in the US or abroad.
Although quite hot in summer, I just spent a day at the elegant, historic boutique resort, Acqualina, in north Miami. It caters to both families and couples, and is just far enough away from Miami to be easily accessible but very relaxing. Hidden Gem Travel clients get some really awesome perks here too!
Alternatively, a resort in Europe (maybe Sardinia – I had recent lunch with a hotelier who runs a lovely hidden gem property) would be just as relaxing while being off the beaten path.
Perhaps an ocean cruise (remember ships come in all sizes) might provide the fly and flop experience you crave.? You explore the ports of call leisurely or stay on the ship by the pool. I’m loving the new Explora ships – planning to check out the onboard experience myself soon. 😊
Go Far!
If you have a longer summer vacation (more than one week), I highly recommend using the time to travel farther than Europe to maximize your experience.
For example, it’s winter in Australia and Argentina so you’d get a break from the heat and not travel in peak season. Working with a travel professional will help you pick the right places to visit based on the weather patterns and your interests.
