Happy Thursday Hidden Gem Travel community!
It’s heart-wrenching to see the reports of the wildfires in southern California. My heart goes out to every single person affected, including the brave firefighters. I have such fond memories from when I’ve been for both business and pleasure. One of my favorite places in the LA area is the Getty Museum, and as of right now (I write this newsletter days in advance) the area is being evacuated. I’ve read that the buildings are made of fire-resistant stone and the grounds have an extensive irrigation system so there’s hope that it will be left standing.Onto the topic of this newsletter… I have to say, I adored the cover of this month’s Virtuoso Magazine! The airlines can be sticklers about the size (carry on bags) and weight (both carry on and checked) of your luggage, especially if you’re flying economy. I always recommend checking the airline’s website when you’re in the process of packing to make sure that your luggage meets the criteria.
